With all of the ways there are in the world to create art, it’s difficult to choose only one. It used to be almost a seasonal preference for me. Winter required the heavy moodiness of oil paint, and in the Spring it felt lighter and more freeing to use watercolor. Over the years, I have developed a stronger connection to water media that goes beyond what the weather dictates. Often times my “studio” can be anywhere from my living room, to a garden or a café, so the feeling of creating untethered to one specific or predetermined place makes me feel even more inspired. I fill a bag with my paints, a few brushes, some beautiful paper, a cup for water, and the world is my studio!
